Circus Circus @ Reno
Just came back from my trip to Reno. We stayed at Circus Circus for 2 nights.
On Sunday, we had breakfast at Denny’s first (I had french toast!) and then got on the road. On the way we visited an outlet mall and an old Californian town (the ones that existed during the Gold Rush. I’ll post pics later. Cause it was Easter, most of the stores weren’t opened except the pizza restaurants. It was so hot there. That was weird cause we’re driving to a place where there was snow. That first day had me worrying that I brought the wrong clothes because everything I had with me was thick and warm. It was evn hot to the point that I craved ice cream (and I got some at the gas station after missing out twice at the outlet and the old town.)
We arrived at Reno at about 4 something. Checked in and got our stuffs into our room. While we were waiting for the elevators, my two brothers each picked an elevator that they think would open; Asher was right every time. That was freaky. Walked to the Eldorado casino to have dinner. The buffet there was AWESOME. The main dishes were all very good. The only downside was that their dessert wasn’t that special. I got a chocolate cake that got me sick but I stil finished it. There was a chocolate crust, a thick layer of caramel and peanuts, some kind of chocolate mousse, and chocolate cream on the top. Yup. Stuffed myself, as always. No surprise. =)
After we went to play the carnival games in Circus Circus. My brothers won the camel race 3 times in a row. Got a whole bunch of stuffed animals and played away 50 something bucks. Lol.
The next day we had a quick breakfast with some of the bread and pastries we “stole” from the buffet. xD Then we drove to Mt. Rose to see if we want to take snowboarding lessons. We were going to sign up, but a man there said that my littlest brother had to go with another group because he was not 10 yet. My dad didn’t want us to be separated, so we didn’t take the lessons. Instead was changed into our snow pants and ran up the ski trail to play with the snow. One of the staffs there told us to move off the trail for safety, so we had to go up higher to an area where a trail wasn’t marked. The snow there was smoother though, cause no one skiied there, but it was more like shaved ice. We tried building a snowman, but it ended up as a sharp rock peak. =______= Then we had a snowball fight, my brother and I verus my dad and my littlest brother. Before we went to get lunch, we toppled our “snowman” and my brother tried carrying it downhill, but he ended up throwing it.
I like the cafeteria at Mt. Rose more, cause the food seems cheaper and they give more in amount. I mean, the spaghetti noodles actually filled the whole plate, unlike at Sierra at Tahoe where they try to give you as less as possible. My brother got a cheeseburger and garlic fries and I got some Chili a la Carne. Haha.
Then my dad drove us to his friend’s house by using the GPS, which really sucks by the way. Don’t ever use that thing cause it’s stupid and will make you stupid. My dad’s friend lives in a huge house by himself because he’s unmarried (and had a lot of money xD). We played some ping pong at his house, then I kinda just slept while my brother played PS2 and the two friends talked. My dad’s friend offered to take us to dinner at the Peppermill buffet (buffet again! yay! =___=) because he’s a VIP there, so our dinner would be “free”. We drove back to the casino first to take a shower, then we drove to the Peppermill casino. We tried calling my dad’s friend, but my dad had no reception inside the casino and even though I had a few signal bars, I couldn’t call because all I heard was static. >___<
The “seafood” buffet was pretty good, though there wasn’t much seafood seeing how it was a seafood buffet. I liked the pineapple there because it was fresh and it was sweet. The dessert there was AWESOME. Got myself an oreo cheesecake and ate most of my brother’s chocolate cake (ok, that chocolate cake was GOOD; so much better than the previous night’s). The best part was there was REAL ice cream there, like ice cream you can scoop, not just some yogurt like stuff that practically every buffet has. My brothers got sherbert on waffle cones and I got peanut butter chocolate chip. I ate too much again, and half of my meal was dessert……..
My brother wanted to play at the arcade at the Peppermill casino, but we still went back to Circus Circus to play some more of the carnival games. I wanted the bear with the Circus Circus sweater, but we didn’t get it. When we were going to go back to our room, my littlest brother disappeared in like, 5 seconds. I swear he just disappeared without any of us knowing. We circled the game area about 6 times trying to look for him, but we couldn’t find him. My dad, thinking that he might have gone back to our room himself, went back to the room to look for him while my brother and I kept on searching. At last my dad found him sitting outside our room. That’s plain amazing. I mean, he’s 7 years old, and he walked all the way from one casino to the other, rode the elevator up to our floor by himself, and located our room. xDDDD If I was 7 and I got lost, I would’ve peed in my pants.
The next morning, we wanted to sleep in late, but we all woke up before 8 because we went to bed early. Packed our luggage and took them to our car. Then we had breakfast at the Island buffet in Circus Circus (yay! 3 buffets in a row!!) Ate a lot of pastries and waffles. Drank french vanilla coffee and I loved it. <3
Arrived back home at around 2-ish. Went running with my dad afterwards cause I seriously need it. Gained 3 lbs in 3 days. Good riddance. And yes Michelle, I need to lose that weight or I won’t be able to fit my jeans anymore, and I really like them.
Spring Break~
Yup, Spring Break is coming up and I’m hecka happy, though I wish it was 2-3 weeks later caue after this long break, we will have to go on 2 months without ANY breaks except Memorial Day, which is only 3 weeks before school ends, so it doesn’t really count. =(
Ah well, I’m going on vacation to Reno Circus Circus and I’m excited. =)
Today was our track meet against Oak Grove. I ran the mile, 800, and the 4×4 relay. Got second for both the mile and 800, and I think I did okay on the 4×4 relay, seeing how it was m first time running (or sprinting) that thing. The fast girl from Oak Grove with the long blonde hair paced first in the mile, the 80, and the 2 mile. =________= BUT….. we knew that was going to happen from the very beginning, so no surprise. Shes really good at running. After all 3 events, she een ran the 4×4 relay and almost caught up to our last girl. How I envy….. ;;_;; But we still won that relay. I’m happy I contributed to our win. xD
Oh yeah, last Thursday was our track meet against Santa Teresa. It was at their school (which had a nice campus that looked like a park and they actually had benches to ea lunch….). I ran the mile and 2 mile and placed first for the mile and second for the 2 mile. Becker got hella mad at me for not running the 800 because we could’ve won it. I didn’t want to tire myself out, but I felt bad for not running it after the race tarted because I know I could’ve gotten first in that. Ah well.
Yesterday when Michelle and I were eating lunch, we saw these two freshman girls beating the crap out of each other. One second they were seating side by side and the next one of the girls threw the second girl onto the ground, sat on her, and bashed her head onto the dirt while grabbing her hair and slapping her. O_O Talk about scary. A crowd formed around them but nobody stepped up to stop the fight. Michelle and I felt bad for not stepping in to help the girl, but that other girl was dead crazy and we could’ve started another fight with her just because we were trying to protect the girl getting beat up. It’s sad how you think you’re safe if you get attacked in the public because everyone would see, but, well, guess what, people see but no one steps in. Reminds me of what someone said about how people just form a crowd and watch the excitement, but no one wants to make it their personal business and help others. I want to change that, but I guess I failed. What was even more sad was that the people who were coming to our school to grade it saw the fight. Our reputation just went DOWN the slide……..
