Dance for Two

Ketchup!

avatar_jiro.jpg picture by spunky_samLol, I just mean I have some catching p to do since my last post about Spring Break. It’s been…. 2 weeks. O_O I do’t remember the details, so I’ll start off with my track meets.

Last Thursday we went against Willow Glen. We didn’t compete against them last year, so I didn’t know how good they were. I got second place for the mile cause the girl caught up to me in the last 100 m. She used Joanna and my trick against us: following the person in the front until the end and then passing them up. I think I got a 5:45. That was my PR last year during the frosh/soph meet. Then I ran the 400 m cause my coach wanted me to score points in that one instead of the 800 m, but I suck at that event so I ended up 4th with a 68-69 secs, I believe. Lol. I did my last event running first for the 4×4 relay. I was in front of the girl from the other relay team and we ended up winning just by a little. Finally. We never won that event before. The girls won that meet, but both boys team lost. Ah well.

Last Friday I went to the orthodontist. Turns out I have to wear my retainers every night until I get to college. Darn it! And I thought I was done…. =_______= That sucks. I wish I had naturally white and straight teeth, bu alas, I have neither. *sighs* Ate at hot pot city afterwards and had some shaved ice cause it was HOT. Nyerh.

It was burning on Sunday, so I wanted to wear the shorts I bought last year but haven’t worn yet. My mom wasn’t sure if I could wear shorts to the event I was going to help out at that afternon, so I had to hange back to long jeans, and I burned in that the whole day…… Went to help out at the Earth Day Program at 1:00 pm for Red Cross, but it turned out that we had to register to be able to help. Only Kevin registered and he didn’t know we had to, so we sorta just did everything that people threw at us. We spent the first hour sorting and folding boxes under the sun. The some people left and some of us stayed to help out at this chemistry booth held by this boyscout group. Stayed until 3:30 pm and went home. It was kind of stupid, but I think I needed the hours, especially now that I can’t go help out at that other event to clean up the park because you have to be 16 years or older to be able to pick up trash. Yeah. =________=

Some people from our school was going to rally at Sacramento to complain about the budget cuts in education, so we had a block schedule. Every class was an hour and 15 minutes long, separated into two days, Tuesday and Wednesday. We had the first 3 periods on Tuesday and was released out of school at 11:30 am, and we had the next 3 (or 4 if you have 7th period) periods on Wednesday and we were released at either 12:45 or 2:00 pm. Alas I had to stay….. ;;_;; But then they ended up cancelling the rall like, on Monday night, but we still had the block schedule because they couldn’t have notified the entire school in one night. My mom was unhappy because we were supposed to rally against the cut n education, but instead we’re cutting short our school day for a cancelled rally and the teachers still get paid the same amount from our parents’ taxes. Heh. What a stupid world.

Monday and Tuesday practices for track were hella tough. I think I nearly died. Tri didn’t come on Monday (how did he know?) so I ended up doing the worout with only Doug and Christian, and there was no way in the whole worl will I be able to keep up with them. I was in need of an ambulance after Monday’s practice (we were the only ones running on the track in the end cause eeryone left already.) We had a 6, 5, 4, 4, 5, 600 m sprint workout with our specified target time for a 400 m. Mine was 69 secs, which was my ACTUAL SPRINTING TIME in a meet for just ONE LAP. I was off by 2 secs for the 600 m, but everything went downhill after that. I think I was off by 10 secs in the 2nd 500 m. We did three 150s in place of the last 600 m, because we looked like we were dying. I mean, I was. On Tuesday we had to sprint six 400s in our target times. It was MUCH better than the previos day, but as we ran it turned out it wasn’t that easy either. I made it pretty close or even under my target times on most of them until the last one, which I totally bombed. Got a freakin’ huge hamstring cramp afterwards that I couldn’t stretch out……

Yesterday was our meet against Evergreen High. They are HELLA good. They totally whooped my ass last year in the mile, which was the only event I ran that day. I think I came in 6th. Well, I was about to change that this year without me knowing it. Before the meet, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to run cause my legs stil hurt, but I stil tried it anyways. And guess what? I PRed TWICE, in the mile and the 800 m. Got a 5:34 or 5:36 for the mile, and a 2:29 or 2:33 for the 800 m. I don’t know, but I kept gtting two times. I think the people working there was 2 secs behind, or ahead. I don’t know. Lol. My coach was like, “You ran a 5:34 for the mile with your legs hurt? Man, I wish your legs hurt everyday. Somebody kick Alice.” LMAO. He kept throwing that “my legs hurt thing at me.” Well, it DID hurtm but after I started running some OTHER part stated hurting more. Geez. For the mile, I passed the girl near the last 100 m. I was like, “I am NOT going to lose here again” since I’ve been losing at the last 100 m in EVERY damn race. I still got the same time for my lap in the 4×4 relay, and we didn’t win that. Ah well. I got 1st in the mile and 2nd in the 800 m and that’s all that matters. And I was even up against Evergreen! Hell yeah. That felt good. xDDDDD Too bad Joanna didn’t run, or she would’ve whooped their ass in the 2 mile for sure.

Today I went to see Michelle swim in the swim meet. I think it’s the only Home meet they had this entire season. I was wondering why I never saw her compete this year, but that was because all her meet was away, unlike last year when she had a whole bunch of home meets.  They went against Leigh high school. Our Varsity boys are HELLA fast. I think they won every relay. Lol. Michelle swam 4 events. There was a breastroke event (I forgot how long it was), two relays, and the 50-free. Good job Michelle! My awesome Varsity fastass swimmer hubbie. xD Then we went to Round Tables for their swim party, but we ended up all going to In-N-Out cause the place was too expensive. The guy working at In-N-Out was retarded, giving me animal-styled hamburger too even though Michelle only said they fries, and they ended up charging us 2 dollars more because of their own stupid fuckin’ mistake. =________= If it was me taking the order, I’d be just like “Psshh… it’s either you make me another one, or you give me a refund on my damned hamburger because I’m not eating that one.” That’s hella gay. Ended up stuffing myself cause everything was animal-styled with a whole bunch of thousand island dressing and onions. The hamburger was huge. Stupid ass.

;;_;;

EDIT: The week’s almost over and I haven’t typed about what I did on the last day of Spring Break (or Sunday, since I had Monday off but tat wasn’t exactly part of Spring Break). My dad drove us to San Francisco sometime in the early afternoon to have afternoon lunch at the Cliffhouse, this hecka good European style restaurant that we went to once before. However, when we got there, the place was full and there were going to close soon, so we couldn’t eat there because the amount of people on the waiting list was sure to drag on to their closing time. Instead, we went downstairs to another restaurant called the Bistro, which was MORE expensive (not that the one at the top wasn’t…..). We ordered 4 dishes (plus my brother wanted the kids menu dish) which accumulated to over $100….. @_@ We had an asparagus and shrimp salad, a halibut,  a lobster spring roll, and a bouillebaisse (however you spell that; it was a dish with salmon, some other kind of fish that tasted like chicken, some lobster meat, this other seafood stuff, and potatoes, all poured with this hecka delicious sauce.) Although the dishes were hella expensive, they were also hella good, except the salad and chicken fingers my brother wanted, which in my opinion was a cimplete waste of money. The salad barely had any vegetables and the chicken tenders were pathetic; ok maybe the fries were okay, but I could find something like this at a fast food store and it would’ve tasted better. Tells us that when one goes into a fancy restaurant, order their specialty and not something like “fries” and “chicken tenders,” cause they’re gonna suck at it. Who orders those stuff anyways at those places??

After our meal, it was 4 something so we went on a 2 hour walk along the beach. It was HECKA windy and at times I was almost blown off the trail. We all brought hats but there really wasn’t any way for us to keep them on our heads….. We saw these foamy bubbles accumulating by te shoreline and the wind was blowing them everywhere. It was gross. My dad said it’s probably from the oil leak that happened some time ago…. it’s scary how easily damaging our pollution is to the ocean.

At around almost 7 PM, my dad drove us to see the sunset. There was a lot of people just standing there taking pictures. I took some with my phone cause I forgot to bring my camera, but they turned out crappy. >.< Then my dad showed us the stores in the Union Square. Man, I think I want to celebrate Christmas there this year. First we drove through Chinatown, and when we were getting close to the Union Square, it felt like we were entering New York City. xD

Then we drove to the airport to pick up my mom. Her flight was delayed so we kinda just waited in this neighborhood by the side of the freeway near the airport. Afterwards we went to dinner.

Nooooooooo….

Spring break is over! I have to start waking up again at that un-godly hour when the sun hasn’t even risen up to go to school. =_____= I can’t believe this week just blew by, but then again, that’s what happens in every break. Even summer just blows by. Sort of.

I gained 4 pounds this break and I have a track meet against Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday. Great. I’ll be feeling my belly fat bouncing while I run. Garh…. I wish I was taller and had longer legs. Lol. We humans all want something that we don’t have and seem unobtainable (which in my case is fact).

Haven’t even started on my english essay yet and it’s due on Thursday. I have absolutely no idea on what I have to write. Beloved by Toni Morrison. Okay. Stamp Paid. Okay. Essay. Come again? O_o I don’t even know how many paragraphs I need. Omgwtfh.

Got Wilber Pan’s new album Play It Cool. I actually wanted backstage scenes of his concert and I thought it was with the album, but I thought wrong. Ah well. I love the pics in there. He’s so damn cute. >o<

Now I’m off to track practice. My leg feels weird. I think I pulled it yesterday in the blasting tornado happening in San Francisco.
