Dance for Two

CCS Semi-Finals and End of School Year

Last Saturday was the CCS semi-finals. Technically, I didn’t make it and wasn’t supposed to compete in the race. During the BVAL race, I came in 9th with a time of 5:32 for the mile and only top 8 makes it or anyone who had a time uner 5:15. I thought Track was over for me and was happy that I finally got rid of this awful burden. Then the next week after I went running wtih Rui and Melissa, we met Jenny who told me that I DID make CCS….. cause some Leigh girl dropped out. Pissed the HELL out of me cause I DID NOT want to go back to Terry’s work-out. Nearly had a breakdown and complained al night and day to my friends and the coach. Felt like crying because I didn’t want to run anymore. In the end, I still went to practice with the few guys left still running. It was a freakin burning 100 something degrees F last week.

On Saturday before we went to the meet, I jogged at the trck with my dad as a warm up. Was already super hot at 8 something in the moning. Came back to take a quick shower and eat breakfast, then we drove to Gilroy. My race was at 11:35 am. Warmed up some more at the school where the race was held. Saw the times of the girs competing there and knew I was not going to make it because there was no way I could improve that much in a week (the fastest girl ran a 4:52 during BVAL….) Was in the first heat of the two. Ran it without any pressure and felt pretty good during the race. Our first lap killed cause we were going super slow, so I ended up getting a time of 5:34, which was 5 seconds slower than my PR. Neh. Chatted with a girl named Karen who was in my race. She was from Saratoga, and I realized later that she wasn’t even in the packt with the names of the girls competing, so I wonder where she came from. O_o Left and went to Home Town Buffet to eat. Then we went home and rested until 6. Went to this classmate reuinion thing that my uncle invited us to. We went cause it as a free dinner, but the food sucked. Lol.

Oh yeah, got a CCS shirt. It’s hella gangster. xDDDD

Today was Club Day: the most fun day of the year. All the clubs set up tables and sold booth. Bought seasoned fries, ice cream, pearl milk tea, and vietnamese sadwiches. Helped scoop ice cream for French Club. Killed my fingers doing that (I couldn’t move my ndex fingers afterwards cause it hurt like a mofo.) The ice cream were a success (got through 4 tubs) and we actually made aprofit, unlike last year….. Lol.

I’m currenty really bored. I dn’t know what to do after I go home everyday, so I just keep on eating, and then I gain weight, and I get pissed off, and I eat more.

Red Cross Banquet this Sunday. Don’t know if I will go. French Banquet next Saturday, and the Last Dance the Friday after. Then it’s a week more until school ends! Oh my god, the school year went by so fast. I can’t believe I’m going to be a Junior already. =_______= I’m gonna die next year; I mean, I’m already dying this year from all these retarded teaches that make everything stupid and hard to understand. This is my schedule for next year:
- Caluclus AB/AP
- French 3
- English 3 AP
- AP US History
- Physics
- AVID Leadership
- Newspaper (maybe… the teacher said he would try to get me in, but it’s currently full; I should’ve gone sooner…. ;;_;; )

Yeah, I think I’m gonna die. Especially with English 3AP and APUSH. Plus I have 2 clubs to look after and I plan on joining Cross-Country next year. The future seems gray….

Great Times (Track)

Last Thursday was our last meet of the season against Santa Theresa. Overall the girls won and I contributed 8 points individually plus the 4×4 relay (got first in the mile and second in the 800.) I didn’t PR though… ;;_;; Ah well, was hella happy that the season is finally over but some of us still got finals.

Tuesday was the MHAL trials. I only had to run the 800 that day but I didn’t make it (came in 11th place with a time of 2:35.) We have to place top 7 to ake it to BVAL and top 8 to the finals. The 3 girls in front of me all had 2:34 and were milliseconds off. Darn it. If only I ran my PR…. but it doesn’t matter that much cause I still have the mile to worry about.

Yesterday (Thursday) was the BVAL trials. I made it for the mile placing 3rd with a time of 5:29. MY newest PR. I was still 10 m away from the tw girls in fromt of me though. They were head to head with each other throughout the whole race and I was just by myself in the back the whole time. Those girls are HELLA fast and the announcer guy knew it too (more like he knew THEM too.) He just kept saying their name and going, “There goes Diaz. There goes Clarke. They’re sprinting it. Omg, it’s the last lap and we can see Diaz kicking it in. Clarke is right behind! etc etc etc.” Ok they’re fast, I admit, but pay SOME atention to the girls in the back too. We’re running our ass off here.

I think Joanna made it for the two mile too. She’s hecka good at that event. Two weeks without practie and she’s still got the ability to run hella fast. *envy* Poor Rui had to run both the mile and 2 mile. I’ll bet she’s exhausted, and Melissa was hella happy when she found out they didn’t have her name for the 2 mile. I was the first runner for our relay. As a whole team, we PRed by 25 seconds (no help to me cause I got the same time.) The list they had from our previous times placed us at 7th out of the 8 relay teams, but we got 3rd place yesterday. BOO YAH! Lisa PRed. Good job to her. Also good job to everyone who made it!

Garh… I’m both happy and sad that I made BVAL. Happy that I get to cmpete at a more extreme level, but it’s like I’m leaving all my friend behind, or to phrase it better, stepping up from my group of friends. I still have to go to practice and compete next Thursday, but I don’t want to do it alone. The part about track that kept me in was that we practiced and competed together. I hate having to do it myself. That’s why I told all of them to come on Thursday to support me (and even to go to practice so I won’t be alone.) I seriously don’t want to do any of this hard work outs myself.

Great Times (Great America)

avatar_miyavi_secret.jpg picture by spunky_samOk.. so last LAST Sunday I went to Great America with Michelle, her sister Josephine, and Catherine. It was the life guard open house for all the swimmers of the schools in our district. I’m NOT a swimmer (as Catherine puts it: we’re quite good at drowning though) but I went because, hey, it was a free ticket, right? Plus a free barbecue too. xD

I met with all of them at my chinese school and we left a little later after 9 in the morning. We all planned for Catherine’s mom to take us there, and we’ve told Catherine DAYS before. Somehow Catherine didn’t relay the message to her. =______= When we were about to leave, her mom told us to have fun. I was like, “Aren’t you taking us there?” And she went O_O “I am?” LOLOL. Catherine thought she told her mom but she never did. I couldn’t believe it. Ah well, her mom still drove us to Great America without getting lost. xD

When we got there the park wasn’t opened yet, and neither Catherine and I had the tickets. The swimmers were supposed to tell the coach how many friends they were bringing so he could order just the right amount, but a WHOLE bunch of people told the coach that only THEY were going, but they ended up taking, like, 5 tickets? So people who actually told the coach before hand didn’t get any tickets. WTF. Those people are freakin’ stupid. We had to get our tickets at the guest service area, but at first that guy wouldn’t give our tickets without our student ID. We forgot to bring them (I was so mad cause I was deciding if I should bring it or not that morning.) He ended up giving us the tickets anyways, but we had to write our names down. I was close to throwing a fit there. Lol.

Entered the park and rode on all the crazy rides in the first one and a half hour. It was roler coaster after roller coaster, cause, face it, Great America is made up of roller coasters. There’s not a single ride there that’s not intense in SOME way. We rode on all of the rides together except of a few more extreme ones (I didn’t go on the one where it’s like a pirate ship but it spins too; which I forgot the name of.) They went on twice cause the guy promised to let them sit together if they went to fill in the empty seats the first time.) Michelle and I went on Delirium and screamed our heads off. Damn that ride is HELLA SCARY. We held hands again like last time and I tried taking a video of our ride, but I couldn’t cause the force and speed at which the coaster was going was too great. I felt like my neck was going to snap in half. Michelle and I rode Drop Zone together too. The scariest part was waiting at the very top. I was already screaming and cussing when the seats rose and stayed up there. Haha.

We rode air trolley thingy mebobber and nearly froze in the air, but it was fun cause we got to see the entire park. Then we kinda rested a while by walking around the Kids’ Zone. Shared a churro and checked out some of the stores there. I wanted to sneak in some candies at the candy store seeing how there wasn’t any security cameras and there was no staff at that side of the store, but I wasn’t sure. However, we noticed a sign on the door that scared us out of the store:
Photobucket
Click on the image and you’ll see why. We went on some of the kiddy rides and laughed at how some of the height marks in the extreme rides section read: “Have to be above 54″ to ride and how they reverse the words in the kid’s section: “Have to be BELOW 54″ to ride.” Lol. We rested for a while and decided we should just walk to Boomerange Bay and wait for the free barbecue. Met up wth Janet, Cecilia, and their friends. Michelle and Cecilia and her friends went to ride the pirate ship (forgot that name too…) but it goes the whole entire 360 degrees and stays on the top for a while. I remember going on that in 8th grade and I freaked out. It didn’t help that Cecilia was screaming the most random thing ever the ENTIRE time and Catherine was screaming for her to shut up. Michelle said that she screamed nonsense entire ride that time too.

We went to the barbecue afterwards and the lifeguards there taught us about what the job would be like if we actually signed up. They showed us how to save a person drowning in the wave pool and how to perform CPR. I got kida lost in the middle. Then they introduced themselves, told us about their own experiences, and asked us if we had any questions. I rshed to the lunch line afterwards cause we were all starving by then. Got a hot dog, a bag of potato chips, two FROZEN cookies (cause I’m a pig), and a bottle of sprite (got a bottle of coke for my mom later.) Sat near the pool with my friends and ate while chatting.

After the barbecue we didn’t feel like going on any more rides because we just ate and we would barf, so Catherine and I each got an ice cream blend (she got Hershey’s Kissables and I got Oreos.) Went to the restaurant in the Kids’ Town and Michelle got a bucket of curly fries. Pigged out and was satisfied. Cuddled together (no not in that disgusting way) on one side of theor leather chairs and chilled. Michelle read her book for English, Catherine watched cartoons playing on TV in the ceiling, I kinda slept and watched cartoons, and Josephine kept on dozing on and off.

Catherine called her mom at around 5-ish and she drove us home. It was hecka fun. I wanna repeat ths day all over again. <33333333
