I know how you feel, so I guess there isn’t much to say.
Yeah, it’s annoying to listen to other people comparing you to someone else. And its even more annoying when you know you can’t live up to the standards set up by the other kid (trust me, I know). Try not to let it get to you. Although it may seem selfish, the first person you should be able to please is yourself. Only you know your strengths and weaknesses and your boundaries. Don’t push yourself to do something that’s beyond you or something that sacrifices your own happiness with someone else’s. Just because we can’t be equal to someone else in academic or intellectual capability doesn’t mean we’re incapable of anything.
